This show presents wooden tableaus, arabic painting and calligraphy, and photography. The decorative art technique of inlaying inserts contrasting, often coloured pieces of wood, shells, mother-of-pearl, horn, or ivory into depressions in a base object to form patterns or pictures. The inlayed tableau is then formed into the shape of the original object by carving away portions of wood. Behind each wooden sheet, painting, and picture contains hidden stories of the soul.
