Melanie Pullen
Melanie Pullen(b.1975) is an internationally active photographer based in the US, who after trials and errors in self-taught photography has come to create a sensational splash with her “High Fashion Crime Scenes” Series. Based on records of the New York and Los Angeles police departments, this series of over 100 images has come to form her signature work. A single image in this series encompassed an entourage of over 80 staff and models, taking in some cases as long as 1 month for a single shot, recreating crime scenes with fashionably dressed models clad in over 13,000,000 USD worth of clothing and accessories. This exhibition marks the first public presentation of this series in Japan.
