Shouzou Tanaka is known as the whistle-blower of the Ashio copper mine pollution incident, an environmental disaster resulting in the copper poisoning of the Watarase and Tone rivers. On the 100th anniversary of his death, the Maruki Gallery presents panels painted by Mr. and Mrs. Maruki depicting the incident.

Schedule	Jul 13 (Sat) 2013-Sep 8 (Sun) 2013  Opening Hours Information Hours 9:00-17:00 Open 9:30-16:30 in December to February. Closed Monday Closed during the New Year holidays. Open on a public holiday Monday but closed on the following day.
