Jiro Oyamada
Jiro Oyamada(1914-91) grew up in a time of Surrealism and other new movements of art, coming to gain popular acclaim in the post-war period and in the 1960s he established his studio in Fuchi city where he would work for over a decade. Fuchu Art Museum celebrates 100 years since the birth of this artist who so candidly distilled humor and wit in images which sought out the imagination and one’s inner world.
