Offering up symbolic depictions of Japan through the scenes of Mt. Fuji and sakura cherry blossom, as captured by the third woman painter to receive the “Order of Culture” Tamako Kataoka, who continued to paint Mt. Fuji into her last 103rd year, along with the nihonga work of Chinami Nakajima, who followed the famed cherry blossom trees of Japan throughout the country.
