Kikuko Iwai, who has been involved in restorations of masterpieces by Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso, and Kiyoshi Yamashita, is working energetically to promote art conservation and restoration in Japan. Her current projects include efforts to establish a domestic art restoration center. She will give a talk moderated by art journalist Erimi Fujihara on her work up until this point, the present and future of art preservation and restoration, and ways to engage with items of cultural heritage.
