Mt. Fuji is a peerless source of artistic expression, demonstrated by poetry extolling its virtues in ancient times to paintings and prints depicting its structural beauty. In recent years, photographers have turned their lenses to this great mountain. For the 16th Mount Fuji Photography Award, judges chose 50 works from around 1,200 submitted from across the nation. These photographs taken from a variety of angles in a range of weather conditions reveal the beautiful and changing face of Mt. Fuji.
