Exhibiting Taisho-era illustrations, musical scores, and poetry by Masao Kato, an artist known for his romantic works featuring fairies, maidens, children, and flora. Lyrical works by Taisho and early-Showa period artists such as Yumeji Takehisa, Kaichi Kobayashi, Kasho Takabatake, Junichi Nakahara, and Koji Fukiya are also displayed. In total, nearly 200 works of “otome” (maiden) designs introduce a world of romantic Taisho-era art.
