Sbek Thom is recognized by UNESCO as a masterpiece of oral and intangible heritage. It is a form of shadow puppetry which was developed for large scale Buddhist ceremonies in Cambodia, with over 1m tall puppets introduced here in a series of 40 photographs by Hideo Kawai and Eiji Kawada.
