Goh Koyama + Etsuji Noguchi “Trays and Vessels”

Gallery Mitate
Finished

Artists

Goh Koyama, Etsuji Noguchi
Wood work artist Goh Koyama creates everything from tools to furniture from his select choice of wood, which always adeptly utilizes the beauty of the wood’s grain within the form of the object itself. Ceramic artist Etsuji Noguchi moved to Tanegashima island where he studied under Takashi Nakazato to carry on the lineage of Tanegashima ware, creating carefully molded vessels with the unique iron rich clay of the island. Here the two gather to present a collection of sake jars, tea cups, tables and trays in a collaboration of wood and earth.
