The Mino area in eastern Gifu Prefecture has been famous for its ceramics since the Middle Ages. The popular noodle dish ramen, originating in China, has developed its own special characteristics within Japan that have spread around the world to places with a variety of cuisine cultures and religions. This exhibition presents ramen bowls and spoons by 25 Mino ceramics artists. Each of these creations was designed with ideas of how their appearances would change the experience of eating ramen, heightening the enjoyment of selecting a bowl and utensils.
