Seven artists from the painting departments of Tama Art University and Tokyo University of the Arts spur each other on with shouts of “hakkeyoi!” a call made by the referee of a sumo wrestling match to enflame the wrestlers’ spirits. Through mutual stimulation and inspiration they here present a collection of paintings, sculpture and instllation.
