Inspired by the title of a Ray Bradbury short story, Akemi Ohara’s “Nido to Mienai” (I See You Never) series presents X-rayed film resembling found photos that explore the knowledge gap between one’s personal memories and images that exist on film. In his “Jukai” series, Umi Fukuma projects his inner self when approaching his subjects, expressing the remnants of desire and pain of the heart as trees to reveal these parts of inner darkness. Naoki Myo’s “Reverb” strikes harmony between the light and wind of trees, using long exposures to visually represent their ephemerality as echos through the repetition of silence and noise. Original prints by all three photographers, a handmade photo collection, and a zine are on display and for sale.
