Shizuka Murayama
Shizuka Murayama, a Léonard Foujita-influenced artist working in Paris for 50 years, has been praised as “a painter who portrays France with a Japanese spirit.” Art Gallery M84 presents some 20 lithographs depicting Parisian streets, Normandy, and the Corrèze mountain range in central France that Murayama created at Mourlot Studios, an important print atelier that produced works by masters including Matisse, Rouault, Miró, and Picasso.
