Artists

Hokusai Katsushika
The popular art of Japan’s modern era, ukiyo-e, had a significant impact upon modern European painting, and must be a point of pride in Japanese culture for its influence upon world art history. The late genius of ukiyo-e, Hokusai Katsushika, born in the Edo era and living to the grand age of nearly 90, made an indisputable contribution to power of this art. This exhibition features the two epic works Hokusai Manga and the Series 36 Views of Mount Fuji shown across two periods.
