This summer, Tokyo Station Gallery will hold an exhibition of works from the UBS Art Collection, one of the largest corporate collections of contemporary art in the world. Celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of its Japan operation this year, the UBS group has been a long-time supporter of the arts, particularly those involving contemporary art. It is well known for activities such as supporting the Art Basel art fair and jointly presiding over the Guggenheim UBS MAP Global Art Initiative intercultural project together with the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. Focusing on the remarkably diverse range of art that has been created since the 1960s, the UBS Art Collection covers a broadrange of genres, including paintings, prints, photographs, video arts, and sculptures. It includes more than 30000 pieces from throughout the world, especially Europe, North America, and Asia.
Making up part of the historic Tokyo Station, the gallery is here arranged into a set of twelve rooms within this unique space, assigning each of those rooms to individual artist carefully selected from the UBS Art Collection. With the core presence of Lucian Freud and Ed Ruscha, who each have about 30 works exhibited, the exhibition contains a total of approximately 80 works, including paintings and photographs. This exhibition presents artists for whom there are few opportunities to be shown at one time in one space in Japan and which serves as an experiment in transforming our uniquely elegant space through the presentation of so many striking works.

Participants: Limited to 20. Open to anyone Junior High-age and older who can attend both days.

Hours	10:00-18:00 Fridays closing at 20:00
Closed	Monday Open on a public holiday Monday but closed on the following day. Closed during the New Year holidays and in between exhibitions.
Notice	Closed on Monday. Open on July 18th (Closed on July 19th).
