Artists

Seika Suda
Seika Suda, a fourth-generation Kunitani ware cermacist, states “As artisans we put the essence of craftsmanship into our works and send them out into the world. It is my humble hope to create things of beauty that exist for utility and as a testament to craft.” Suda’s great grandfather was known as an early teacher of the famed artist Rosanjin Kitaoji. Some 250 works of Japanese tableware and other ceramics, including new pieces, are on display in the first exhibition in 2.5 years from this kiln with 120 years of history.
