This is a solo exhibition by the charismatic illustrator Naohisa Inoue, who is known for creating backgrounds for popular animated films. Iblard is the name of a fictional city based on Ibaraki City in Osaka, where Inoue currently resides. The artist depicts the fantastic scenery of this imaginary city, where people inhabit nostalgic worlds set in the near future. This exhibition will introduce around 30 works, including watercolors and prints as well as brand new works, all inhabited by Inoue’s original characters.
