Artists

Yoo Geun-Taek
As part of a program to reassess the legacy of spiritual culture a special exhibition of work of genius of Korean contemporary painting Yoo Geun-Taek (1965-). Whilst having specialized in Eastern painting methods in university Yoo quickly came to cross these methods with that of Western painting and blur the boundaries between the two. Taking scenes from everyday life he melds these with a bold painterly vocabulary which lifts them beyond reality. This exhibition features 50 works from his portraiture, interior, dinning table, landscape and library series.
