Takashi Kanazawa
The second exhibition for Takashi Kanazawa, a young graduate of the Tokyo University of Arts Graduate School. Kanazawa’s astute, solemn Nihonga paintings of owls, hawks, tigers, and other creatures are accented with metallic tints to capture the liveliness of their subjects. His portraits of cormorants, a main motif, display a particularly wild energy.
