Artists

Toshiya Masuda
Toshiya Masuda (b. 1977), who grew up in the “family computer generation,” is a ceramics artist inspired by the computer games of his youth. His creations explore the visual disparities between digital computer graphics and the physical properties of ceramics. As motifs he chooses items from everyday life such as sneakers and eggs-on-rice, bringing humor and familiarity to his nostalgia-inducing works reminding us of fragments of memories. This extensive exhibition spread across Takashimaya Shinjuku Art Gallery presents all of Masuda’s works to date.
