In her desire to create new future landscapes, artist Mika Katagiri depicts children and scenes from the everyday. The “Shimi-shimi” works on exhibit here, incorporating boat motifs created through the layering of paint stains, express a new aspect of her practice. This is Katagiri’s first solo exhibition in four years.
