Haruka Saito
Artist Project #2.0 is an exhibition program launched in 2016 that allows curators to recommend artists to present work in the hall of Museum of Modern Art, Saitama. Haruka Saito, recipient of a Tokyo Wonder Wall Award (2011) and Shell Art Prize (2016), will be the first artist to participate. Haruka creates work on the theme of memory. No matter how vivid events are, they still fade away and disappear over time. Not wanting these events to vanish, Saito believes that the past should be able to exist somewhere in the now. She is an artist that expresses her feelings about memory, its beauty and poignancy, through paintings and installations.
