The Yellow Clay Ceramic Studio
The Yellow Clay Ceramic Studio is a pottery school located in Ebisu, Tokyo that is attended by people of all ages, male and female. An annual exhibition is organized to showcase works by students, with an abstract topic specified each year. This year students are asked to create something around the theme “miyabi,” one of the traditional Japanese aesthetic ideals that is often translated as “elegance” or “refinement.” A diverse range of works will be presented, including tea bowls and vessels for beverages. On the first day of the exhibition there will be a critique of the work led by Kimpei Nakamura, Professor of Art at the Department of Ceramics, Glass, and Metal Works at Tama Art University.

Another exhibition will run concurrently at Musee F.
