This is the second solo exhibition by leading contemporary artist Yusuke Shibata at this gallery, his previous one held three years earlier. Shibata is known for producing work that uses people, objects and events to focus on the relationship between the real and the fake. This exhibition follows on from his solo exhibition, “Public and Freedom,” held at Art Center Ongoing in Kichijoji last summer. It will present a photograph-based installation that explores the possibilities of public space. Follow Shibata’s search acts of freedom in our chaotic, detritus-filled landscapes.
