Megumi Aoki
In her work Megumi Aoki depicts mental images of floral compositions, experimenting with new types of expression by painting with mineral and acrylic paints directly onto stainless steel plates so that they overlap with the mirrored surfaces. She was recipient of the Cherry Blossoms Prize awarded by Sato Sakura Museum, Tokyo in both 2016 and 2017. When looking at her flowers, it is both the color and texture that are of note.
