Exhibition of world renown Colombian artist Federico Uribe jointly produced by the Colombian embassy and Gallery DKarte. Uribe is a contemporary artist who combines painting with sculpture. HIs work has consisted of thousands of everyday items such as coloring pencils, nails, neckties, coins, etc. put together to create single pieces. A past work of a turtle whose head was made of a soldier’s helmet and body of bullets represented the state of violent conflict in Colombia over recent years.

The artist Federico Uribe will visit Japan during the exhibition to talk about and comment on his artwork. Japanese interpreter available. Reservations required.
