From TV to magazines to social media, cats are more popular than ever before. Collector Maneki Neko-tei has spent the years diligently acquiring cat-themed artwork. This unique collection, displayed in museums throughout the country as part of the “Maneki Neko-tei Collection: Cats Cats Cats”, is now coming to Fujisawa City Art Space. Among the 450 cat-themed pieces on display will be paintings, sculpture and more by Steinlen, Beardsley, Warhol, ukiyoe by Hiroshige and Utagawa, Leonard Foujita, and so on.
