In Asia in recent years there has been an increase in the popularity of “art sofubi,” a version of the soft vinyl figurines that started out as toys and have acquired new value as works of art. This retrospective for Sunguts presents more than 100 sofubi characters by an artist who has been making them for nearly 20 years.
