60 Years of Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition - A News Agency as Eyewitness

Newspark - The Japan Newspaper Museum
Finished
Antarctica has long been off-limits to humankind. 60 years have passed since Japan’s first Antarctic expedition and it has been 80 years since the birth of Soya, the ship that took the expedition to the continent. This exhibition will showcase 60 photographs from the popular series “A News Agency as Eyewitness”. The photographs capture an extreme landscape of ice, the animals that live in this harsh environment, and the expedition ships and bases of ongoing, present-day expeditions.
