Jun Miki
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Jun Miki, who became the first official Japanese staff member of Time Life, flourishing in his career as an international photojournalist. Miki is quoted as saying, “To me, photography is a philosophy…With it I try to answer questions such as ‘What is freedom,’ ‘What is peace?,’ ‘What is beauty?’.” This exhibition features around 90 works from half a century in Miki’s career spanning the postwar era through the early Heisei period. Discover his philosophy and retrace an exciting era.
