Established in Ginza 3-chome in January 1968 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Nikon, Nikon Salon is a photo gallery that strives to spread and advance the culture of photography. Since holding its first ever photography exhibition “The Eyes of Ihei Kimura”, it has continued to support exhibitions and lectures as a space for photographers and photo-lovers alike. Opening branches in Shinjuku in July 1971 and Osaka in March 1974, Nikon Salon is continually spreading the photography culture.
Breaking the boundaries between professionalism and amateurism, Nikon Salon strives to uphold the traditional status of the photo gallery as a place to exhibit sophisticated works from various fields, without being influenced by market strategies. Anyone is welcome to display their works here. Nikon Salon is always waiting for your wonderful photographs.
