Conservation and Restoration of the Tokyo National Museum Collection

This exhibition features recently restored objects in order to share the museum’s conservation activities with the public. It aims to deepen understanding of the museum’s activities and the restoration of cultural properties, as well as the cultural and historical backgrounds of these properties. Highlights include the works “Westerners in Japan, Edo Period” from the 17th century and “Coat, Flower design in gold and silver embroidery on deep blue velvet ground, Used by Madho Singh II” from the 19th century.
