100th Year of the Anniversary of Time - ‘Time’ Exhibition 2020

National Museum of Nature and Science
Finished
June 10th is the “Anniversary of Time”. It commemorates the Emperor Tenchi making the first time in Japan in 671 using a water clock. From May to July 1920 (Taisho 9), at the Tokyo Museum of Education, the predecessor of the National Museum of Science, an exhibition about “time” was held to encourage ordinary people to care about time and punctuality. This exhibition was so popular that the “Anniversary of Time” was created. This year marks the 100th year of the “Anniversary of Time” and the first exhibition about time in a century.
