Paul Cox
The creative talents of France-based Paul Cox (b. 1959) include painting, graphic design, stage art, and more. In Japan, his picture books and advertisements have won many fans. Cox became involved with Itabashi Art Museum during the 2006 workshop “Summer Studio.” This exhibition features Cox’s landscape series from recent years, his theater posters and graphic designs, his picture books, and other works. Large landscapes, installations inspired by the hiragana alphabet, and other new works created specifically for this exhibition are displayed. What positive messages about creation and connection does this artist have for us?
