This exhibition is a follow-up to Naoto Kumagai’s solo exhibition “Integrate” held at Cave-Ayumigallery last year.
In “Integrate” Kumagai presented works that attempted to unify “support and paint” and “work and space” by using traditional supports such as canvas, irregularly shaped layers of cloth, rolled paper, bent boards, cubic wood, and the walls of the gallery.
In this solo exhibition, Kumagai will present new paintings created with an experimental spirit, exploring the use of wood and fabric as supports.
