Artists

Yuna Yagi
After graduating from Parsons School of Architecture in New York in 2004, Yuna Yagi has lived and worked in Canada, New York, and Berlin, and now lives and works in Kyoto.

Yuna Yagi pursues the truth of things through the experience of “seeing,” and has been creating artworks and installations using visuals and phenomena both in Japan and abroad.

In this exhibition, silhouettes of Japanese architecture, the subject of the exhibition, are printed on acrylic, metal, and other materials that are not normally used as supports when developing photographs. With a sense of awe for the context of the land and architecture that serve as motifs, the works present various “perspectives” that change with time, space, and the viewer’s emotional state, prompting the viewer to reflect on the work and expanding it as a unique landscape in each viewer’s mind.
