This is the third year of an exhibition of work based on the motif of Shunga by contemporary artists from a variety of genres, including manga, woodcarving, video, performance, photography, and contemporary art. There is an affinity between the social significance of contemporary art and the power inherent in Shunga in terms of “the creation of new values and the expansion of tolerance at the level of sensitivity by the challenging of taboos.
