Shoko Masunaga started preparing for this exhibition with an observation of Loko Gallery’s building and external appearance, the wellhole styled inner structure, the space difference between the first and the second floor and other features, in order to grasp the intention with which the space where the artworks will be displayed was created, and what kind of time can be spent in there. This exhibition multiple tableaux, which can also be individual pieces of artwork, are piled up on a wall surface in an attempt to incorporate the psychological and visual effects of appreciating art, born from the correlation between the environment, the scale and the shape of the artwork, as well as the colors. Free from the traditional principles, the rearrangeable paintings give the freedom to enjoy the process of recreation and pull out the individuality of the beholder.
