Since “Superflat” the so-called “Character Art” trend has had a continuous influence in Japan. What stood behind the scenes thought was “the expression of the ability of the artist to operate symbolized characters”. On the other hand, in this exhibition “the expression of drawing near the character as existing on its own and separately even from the author” will be considered as another possibility.
Just as stated in the title, this exhibition will be an overnight party of the characters, who are given life by the diverse artists. This will be an experiment for appreciation in a form of an invitation to the temporary community, created by gathering the character at one place.
