Yoshiko Minagawa “Yuuki II”

Savoir Vivre
Finished

Artists

Yoshiko Minagawa
Seeking a niche, Sadako Minagawa creates incredibly delicate and elaborate glasswork. Her highly realistic glass insects are created based on information from illustrated books and enthusiasts. The elaborate glass figures, on the other hand, are small, cute, and fun, the result of the imagination of Minagawa, who loves to read.

This year’s DM work, “Yuuki II,” continues the motif of the sea moon, with hot work added to create a paperweight with a transparent impression. The usual beetle will be transformed to look more like glass. New insects with different sizes and expressions will also be exhibited from a new perspective.
