The “What if Tokyo” manga exhibition is an art project featuring 20 works drawn by 20 of Japan’s leading manga artists, including Taiyo Matsumoto (Ping Pong and Sunny), Inio Asano (Solanin and Deadly Demons Destruction), Shinichi Ishizuka (Gaku: A Mountain for Everyone) and Blue Giant under the theme of “Tokyo”. The 20 works will be exhibited in the auditorium on the second basement floor of the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, as well as in the courtyard and other public spaces within the museum, under the concept of “Reading Tokyo, Walking Manga”. This is a new type of manga exhibition where visitors can enjoy the exhibition as if they were walking around the works on display.
