Rokuro Taniuchi
In our museum, we change the contents of the exhibition 4 times in a year in order to introduce the world of illustrated covers, that Rokuro Taniuchi has created, to our visitors. This time the exhibition is titled "Snow, Moon and Flowers seen in Rokuro Taniuchi" and the works are divided into "Snow", "Moon" and "Flowers" themes.
"Snow, Moon and Flowers" represents the Japanese perception of nature's beauty that is "the winter snow", "the autumn moon" and "the spring flowers". This words express the changing beauty of Japanese four seasons. But Rokuro Taniuchi didn't render the four seasons through depicting famous places but had a unique approach and focused on the real life and the people who, while enjoying the seasons, lived their everyday lives, whom he depicted with a sense of humor.
