Michio Okabe, Zero Jigen, Kokuin, Masanori Oe, Masanobu Nakamura
Michio Okabe began his career as an avant-garde artist in the mid-1960s, interacting with the High Red Center, Zero Dimension, and Yujio Shinohara to produce pop-like contemporary artwork. Inspired by Kenneth Anger's Scorpio Rising, Okabe produced his first film, The Creation Theory, which won the Sogetsu Experimental Film Festival Incentive Award.
The works to be screened are rare in Japan and are valuable not only in the history of Japanese cinema but also in the history of contemporary art.
