Ken Domon
Ken Domon, known as the “demon of photography” and “master of realism left a strong impression as one of the most famous photographers of the Showa era. On the other hand, his "Eight Chapters on the Body," a fantastic set of photographs using the female body as a motif, which was released shortly after the end of World War II, gives us a glimpse of a slightly different image of the artist. However, given Domon's deep knowledge of a wide range of artistic fields, from literature to fine arts, and his voracious exploration of the photographic medium, this work may also be said to be part of his essence.
