Artists

Apichatpong Weerasethakul
Apichatpong Weerasethakul of Thailand is active in both art and film. His films, installations, and photographs are in the collections of the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, and the Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art, all public museums in Japan. Many fans may have experienced his solo exhibition "Apichatpong Weerasethakul: Ghosts" held in 2016 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography's comprehensive opening.

As a film director, six years after his previous film "The Light Grave" (2015), he released his new film "MEMORIA Memoria", which had its world premiere at the "Cannes International Film Festival" in 2021 and was awarded the Jury Prize.

To commemorate the release of his new film "Memoria" in Japan in March 2022, an encore screening of the documentary film "The True Face of A.W. Apichatpong," which closely follows Apichatpong as he prepares for the film, will be held.

Screening times: 13:20, 14:40, 16:00, 18:00, 19:20
All seats are reserved. Each showing has a limited seating capacity. No standing.
