The Artists’ Fair Kyoto was created in 2018 in Kyoto, as an unconventional art fair where the artists themselves would take control from planning to exhibition. The event, which exhibits works by domestically and internationally acclaimed artists and up-and-coming artists under their recommendation or through public application, has been growing its reputation worldwide as a unique stage that creates communication between visitors and artists. One of the highlights of this fair is that even in the short period of two days, all lovers of contemporary art can visit and experience the front line of the contemporary art scene in venues furnished as eccentric exhibition spaces. The satellite venues will thrive to contribute to an even more satisfying fair with themed exhibitions by artists who have participated in the fair in the past.
