This is the third exhibition in two years by the artists featured in "Bijinga Borderless," which was published in 2017 and became a big hit. The history of "Bijinga" (portraits of beautiful women), which has continued since the Edo period (1603-1868), can be said to be a mirror reflecting the ideal image of women of that era. What about the "bijinga" paintings of artists living in today's society? Rather than pursuing external beauty, the works featured in this exhibition express the artist's own ideas of beauty and individuality.
