A "cursed object" is an artifact or natural object that possesses magical powers and is used in rituals. It is also a general term for things that are believed to be harmful. However, originally cursed objects were objects of worship, inhabited by spirits, and believed to possess supernatural powers. In recent years, the term "cursed object" has also been used to refer to objects that are believed to bring misfortune to those who possess them.
