Fragments of Okayama Contemporary Sculpture Vol. 5

Nagi MOCA
Finished

Artists

Yohei Kawamura, Teruyasu Matsumura
This is a selected exhibition to introduce the diversity of contemporary sculpture in Okayama.

Yohei Kawamura, who creates figurative sculptures of people and familiar animals and plants, pursues sculptures modeled on what he sees with his own eyes and what exists in reality. Teruyasu Matsumura, who creates abstract sculptures that give form to sensory objects, expresses things that cannot be captured visually, such as time and emotions, through his own interpretation of materials, shapes, spaces, and other plastic elements.

The works of figurative and abstract sculptures by these two up-and-coming sculptors representing Okayama Prefecture will create a space and time that will stir the imagination through a chemical reaction between the sensibilities of the creators and the sensibilities of the viewers.
